The most reoccurring type of washing machine repair is for strange sounds coming from the machine. We can diagnose the source of the strange noise and decide whether we should repair or replace the broken appliance parts. The origin of the noise is usually due to a worn-down pump motor or worn bearings or belt.
In the event your washer does not agitate or turn on, take a look to see if it is unplugged or if a circuit breaker flipped off. The problem might also be from a broken door latch, timer or thermal fuse. A washing machine that does not agitate means the cogs, coupler, drive belt or the transmission need repair or need replacement.
A washer that does not spin means there is something wrong with the door latch, wax motor or motor coupling. BRAND will fix these problems in no time at all and have your washing machine spinning again ASAP!
The common reasons for a washer overflowing is the water level pressure switch, water inlet valve or the air dome tube on the washing machine.
A broken temperature control switch or inlet hose is often the reason a washing machine doesn’t produce hot or cold water.
A very common dryer malfunction is strange sounds coming out of the machine. Broken bearings, seals or worn belts often lead to strange noises from clothes dryers.
A clothes dryer that doesn’t generate enough heat to dry clothing won’t be very helpful. The source of the issue is likely a broken heating element, high limit thermostat or cycling thermostat. These exact same parts could cause a dryer to be too hot. Our repairman will troubleshoot the dryer to uncover the problem and solution.
If your dryer does not turn on, you will want to be sure the dryer is not unplugged and that all of the circuit breakers are on. If the machine is plugged in and still will not turn on or tumble, the heating element, high limit thermostat or cycling thermostat will likely need to be repaired or replaced.
The exact opposite issue is if the dryer doesn’t shut off. The cause of this issue is either a broken door switch or timer.
A dryer timer is required to advance in order to complete the cycle. When the timer will not advance, it could mean there is a broken cycling thermostat or timer motor.
